I began sculpting as a path through the pain of loss. What I found was a path that led to conversation.
It became my way of visiting with those that I thought I lost and to continue to have conversations with them. It was also a way to begin a conversation with you.
What happens inside the head--my head, your head or anyone's head is amazing. What is in right front of you is one thing it is something tangible, but seeing the inside workings as the outside vision is a totally different and new experience. Sculpting is my way to bring that inside thinking to the outside for others to see.
The sculptures themselves have become an invitation to be inside my head, to see what I see and then become a part of that conversation or for beginning one of your own. Seeing makes it easier--it is hard to start a conversation when just whispering into the air.
